Serving a generous portion of wine-braised steak, porcini and white mushrooms, onions, carrots, and celery over a bed of garlic mashed potatoes—all in a rich beefy gravy—we top our pot pies with a buttery, flaky puff pastry top. This savory dish will effortlessly fill your Sunday roast craving—and fast become a family favorite.

Heating, eating & storing your Irish steak and mushroom pies

For a golden top, beat one egg with a splash of water then brush egg onto pastry top. Reheat your pies on a sheet tray lined with aluminum foil for approximately 45-60 minutes in a 375-degree oven. The interior temperature of your pies should reach 165 degrees. The interior will be hot, so please be careful when eating straight from the oven (as we’re often tempted to do).

Once reheated, we suggest eating immediately and pairing with a nice green salad dressed with Merlin’s Market Honey Citrus Vinaigrette.

We don’t recommend using a microwave to heat your Irish steak and mushroom pies as the pastry may lose quality and the tin is aluminum, which may cause problems to your microwave.

You can refrigerate your pies for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 6 months when properly covered.
